Silent Night silenced in favor of Cold at Night

The anti-Christmas secularists always find a way to outdo themselves. In one Wisconsin elementary school, they have changed “Silent Night” to “Cold at Night.”

Cold in the night, no one in sight, winter winds whirl and bite, how I wish I were happy and warm, safe with my family out of the storm.

That just sounds awful. Meanwhile, the school is decorated with symbols of Kwanzaa and Hanukkah. It’s not that religion is forbidden, only certain religions, only the religion of the majority.

[Thanks to Jeff Miller for the link and his parody of such silliness: “Silent Night Seasonal Semi-Singers” who Christmas carols to avoid offending listeners with the lyrics.]
