Rome is calling

Cell phone users in Ireland can receive messages from the Pope on their phones. A new service, expanding from one already in use in Italy, allows subscribers to receive short messages from Pope John Paul on their cell phones every day at noon. So now, when you’re out at lunch with someone you want to impress, you can interrupt them by saying, “If you’ll excuse me, I have to take a call from the Pope.” (OK, so it’s a text message but it works just as well.)
