Pregnancy help for college students

Today, on the day of the annual March for Life, some pro-life Congressmen have proposed the Elizabeth Cady Stanton Pregnant and Parenting Student Services Act of 2005. The proposed law provides assistance to college students who get pregnant and to young single mothers trying to go to college, removing one more incentive to abortion. It will encourage colleges to offer additional services to these women:

Services include family housing, child care, maternity coverage, resources for mothers and children as well as education resources for mothers and fathers as to better support healthy marriages among other services according to Feminists for Life.

By the way, for all your March for Life coverage, go to AfterAbortion. She includes a quote from my friend, Rep. Jeff Fortenberry of Nebraska, who addressed the March: “To the women who are post-abortive here today and in the fight for life, we say, ‘We honor your bravery, honesty and strength. Your recognition of the gift of life and the poignancy of your stories are really making a difference.” Good man!
