Pope Benedict is going back to his home next September. The Kath.net news service is reporting that he will visit his former Archdiocese of Munich and Friesing and the Diocese of Regensburg in Bavaria.
It seems to be definitive. Pope Benedict XVI. will visit Bavaria in 2006. The Archdiocese of Munich and Freising and the Diocese of Regensburg have announced to reveal further details about the visit on press conferences in Munich and Regensburg, this coming Thursday. Already on October 28th, the Bavarian newspaper “Oberbayerisches Volksblatt” reported that the Pope will visit Bavaria from September 14 to 17, 2006. According to this paper, the Pope will visit Munich, Regensburg and the shrine of Our Lady of Altötting.
