Oops, more bad record-keeping

The Archdiocese of Boston admits that it mistakenly submitted the name of an innocent priest in a list of accused sex-abusers. That’s at least the second time that’s happened. In this case, they gave the name of a living Jesuit instead of a deceased diocesan priest. The previous case was Fr. James Foley whose sordid past unrelated to the Scandal was released to plaintiffs’ lawyers instead of the other Fr. James Foley who is the object of accusations.

This does not engender confidence in their future ability to root out abusers, past, present, or future. And it makes you wonder what is being missed in those notoriously badly kept files in the chancery basement.
