Yesterday, the Dallas Morning news ran a story about a monsignor from the Philippines who admitted fathering a child, is accused of raping the mother to conceive the child, and was refused faculties in the Los Angeles archdiocese, but who has now been granted a parish assignment in Dallas.
The newspaper ran an editorial today saying that Bishop Charles Grahmann is just following his standard m.o. The diocese also claimed that the priest had undergone a background check even though his son and the boy’s mother, now in Los Angeles, and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles both say they were never contacted.
