Wick Allison, the Dallas magazine publisher, was among the most vocal critics of Bishop Charles Grahmann, charging that the bishop made an agreement with a group of prominent local Catholics a few years back—in the wake of a massive scandal and lawsuit—to make some changes, including resigning not long after a coadjutor bishop was appointed. Now Allison has gone public with the alleged failure of the bishop to live up to the bargain and is leading the charge to get him to go.
