Liberal media’s politically correct template

This is just hilarious. The Los Angeles Times ran a review of an opera and had a knee-jerk liberal response that created a furor. The music critic wrote the review of a Richard Strauss opera that he said was pro-life, meaning that it is a celebration of life. But the newspaper’s official policy is not to use the term pro-life and changed it to read anti-abortion. Except that the opera had nothing to do with abortion. The critic was understandably upset.

You see, the newspaper’s official policy is never to use the term “pro-life” because it might offend “people who support abortion.” That concern for their feelings is funny, because they use “pro-choice” for those people without considering it may offend people who are against abortion. After all, shouldn’t they just use the term “pro-abortion,” which is the direct analogue of “anti-abortion”?

The actual mistake was itself minor, but the mindset it reveals is emblematic of the liberal bias of the media.
