Assistant Editor/Designer Opening in Stockbridge, MA
The Association of Marian Helpers, a Catholic non-profit direct mail, publishing, and fund-raising organization, has a full-time opening in its Editorial/Communications Department for an assistant editor/designer. Primary duties include editing and designing newsletters using QuarkXPress and Photoshop on a Macintosh computer; assisting executive editor in various ways, from editing quarterly magazine, books and booklets, and other materials to reviewing submissions for publication and editorial product for Marian catalog.
Qualifications include BA in English, Journalism, or a related field with at least two years of professional experience as a writer, editor, or journalist. Some Internet and photography experience a plus. Looking for a committed, practicing Catholic with a strong background in Catholic teaching. Interest or background in Divine Mercy and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary a plus. Good benefits package offered. Must relocate to the Berkshires in western Massachusetts. Salary commensurate with professional experience.
