It’s time

It’s time

I have good news and bad news. The good news is that Melanie’s water broke last night and we went in to the hospital. The bad news is that they discovered this morning that the baby is breech and so they will have to do a C-section this afternoon. They would have done it right away, but I brought her a bagel this morning and so now they have to wait eight hours. D’oh!

In any case, your prayers for Melanie and the baby would be greatly appreciated. And keep an eye here because as soon as the baby is born, I’ll take a photo with my cameraphone and upload it to the main blog. Because what else would a proud papa with a blog do? smile

  • You are all in my prayers! The next phase of the adventure is about to begin. I am sending mine off to college now and it really doesn’t seem that long ago that we were rushing to the hospital for the deliveries. Savor every moment!

  • My prayers are with the Dad, the Mom and the baby at this time.

    Well, especially the Mom.  grin

    Please keep us informed.

  • What an exitihg moment! God be with you all.

The birth days of your children are so incredible – truly a time of grace for your new gift – your domestic Church.

  • I love reading all of these good luck messages.

They are all so exciting that I feel as if it is a member of my own family who is about to give birth.

That’s because Don and Melanie have shared their lives with us, including their wonderful marriage.  I am sure that many of us readers feel as if we know them.

Well, we do in a way.

The best of luck to Dom, Melanie and the new member of their family.

    Blessings to them all.

  • I ran a Google search on “saint may 18” to see whose day it was today, and the top hits were all about Mount St. Helens, which erupted on May 18, 1980.  How does Helen Bettinelli sound?  grin

Actually, today is Pope John Paul II’s birthday (1920).  módl się za nami!

  • Praying for you, Melanie, Dom and dear new little one.  If you are born today you are in good company~~ Pope John Paul II:  Karol Wojtyla is born May 18, 1920 , baptized June 20 in Wadowice, Poland.  Through the intercession of Mother Mary and JPII, may your delivery and your baby be perfect in every way!
