Spin control in the Dallas diocese continues today with the editor of the local Catholic newspaper (who is also the bishop’s spokesman) coming out with an editorial that blames all the bishop’s problems on a hostile media. Where have we heard that before?

  • Why don’t you ask her? It seems kind of odd you’d ask it here.

    For myself, I don’t subscribe to the media conspiracy theory, except in the sense that secular humanists with an agenda contrary to the Church’s mission will take any opportunity or opening to attack her. But we have given them that opening in the Scandal. Havard thinks that it’s all an invention that is blowing a minor problem out of proportion.
