Iraqi exiles vs. Peaceniks

This one is making the rounds, but it is so good you should hear it. Some California talk radio station had a peace activist as a guest and she was saying that removing Saddam Hussein from power would not promote justice and peace for the Iraqi people. So an Iraqi exile named Mohammed called in and challenged her to tell him how letting Saddam stay would promote peace and justice for his people. She couldn’t give a straight answer to the question. She hemmed and hawed and finally said something about letting international law work, when Mohammed interuppted to tell her that reliance on international law and diplomacy to save his people has left millions of them dead, many in the past 12 years when the UN was supposed to be curtailing the evil tyrant’s power.

The whole conversation is available here as an MP3. It’s only a couple of minutes long, but Mohammed is my favorite Iraqi right now.
