“Inappropriate touching”

The homosexual Episcopal priest who was on the fast-track to become bishop of New Hampshire was accused of sexual misconduct. That put the final vote on his election on hold.

I am shocked ... Shocked! ... that this happened. Why, who knew that the vast majority of clergy sexual abuse was of a homosexual nature? Who knew that the vast majority of homosexual relationships are not monogamous and last only an average of 1.5 years in any case?

But, of course, the bishop-in-waiting’s supporters and the media are claiming that this is just a plot by “eeevil” conservatives to derail the election of a man they must hate so much. Not that there could be truth to this. I thought that any allegation of sexual misconduct must be taken seriously, that the accused must be removed from ministry, that the alleged victim must be given the benefit of the doubt, and that we must show zero tolerance. I suppose that only applies when the accused is a Catholic priest, is not a crusading homosexual activist, and it doesn’t inconvenience the liberal agenda.
