The other day I received the new CD from the Brotherhood of Hope, a new community of Catholic brothers with a special ministry to college students. The CD itself is good and will appeal mainly to young adults who like contemporary Christian music and modern praise. There are two songs I especially liked, which had Celtic and Spanish influences. You can listen to audio clips at their site. Here’s their promotional blurb:
The Brotherhood of Hope is a new community of Catholic Brothers who do evangelistic outreach to students at four large universities. They recently released their 2nd music CD, Into the Deep—a lively collection of hymns, chant, Spanish, Irish and contemporary music. The CD has enjoyed airtime on the BBC, EWTN, and 130 radio stations, and it is also approved by Vatican Radio and endorsed by internationally respected musicians and leaders alike. Into the Deep also includes a special booklet filled with catechesis, meditations, resources and spiritual aids. Sample the songs yourself and check out the many endorsements online at http://www.brotherhoodofhope.net .
They’ve also got endorsements from everyone who’s anyone.
