In the Bettnet discussion forum, Joe Soucy notes the deafening silence on the San Francisco gay marriage fiasco from groups that have been very vocal in Massachusetts, notably Your Catholic Voice.
Joe asks, and quite rightly, whether YCV is really a national group as it claims to be. I have to wonder the same thing. After all Ray Flynn, YCV’s president, used to be mayor of Boston. Is that why the group is so visible here? Is it capable of being visible anywhere else?
The interesting thing is that while the Mass. situation gathered so much attention, so little has been said about San Francisco.
Okay, everyone, discuss it in the forum.
