An Alaska Airlines flight had a hole torn in it on Monday, lost cabin pressure, and was forced to make an emergency landing. What makes this story fascinating is that one of the passengers has blogged it. Passenger Jeremy Hermanns took photos with his Treo and has also posted his recollections. Scary stuff indeed.

“The report by the airline came after an investigation by KING/5, which said it found Alaska Airlines had 17 ramp incidents in 2003, 15 in 2004 and 72 in the first nine months of this year.”
I wonder if Alaska Airlines’ baggage handlers are unionized (or trying to get unionized)?
Amazing account of the event. I read the comments on his blog and was surprised by how rude so many people were. Apparantly I don’t venture too far from St. Blog’s.
