Geraldo Rivera has been booted from Iraq because he revealed too much information in a report. There is some dispute over whether Fox News pulled him or the Pentagon booted him or whether he’s leaving Iraq or just the unit he was with. In any case, at some point in a broadcast he bent down to draw a map in the sand of where he was. Smart.
Geraldo has a tendency in his reports to overdramatize himself, those he’s with, and the situations they’re in. Anyone remember his claims of being shot at in Afghanistan? He was ducking down while soldiers nearby didn’t seem fazed. It turned out that the shots were being fired in another direction.
What a rube? At least he’s not like Arnett and giving hope to the enemy that their resistance is working.
