Gay marriage for Mass.

Gay marriage for Mass.

Well, they did it. It wasn’t as bad as it could have been, but it’s bad enough. The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court told the state Legislature to pass a law setting up gay marriage. What we have is a situation analogous to what happened in Vermont. We’ll probably have civil unions very soon.

Nice balance of power we have in government. Not only have the courts taken on the power to find rights in the constitution that aren’t there, now they’re telling the other branches of government what laws to pass. We don’t live in a republic anymore; it’s an oligarchy.

  • Other decisions handed down by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court today include:

    That the so-called “Law of Gravity” is unconstitutional and will no longer apply in the Commonwealth;

    That the Sun will no longer be obligated to rise in the East: the star’s rising direction will become a matter of personal choice in the Commonwealth;

    That the State Legislature must enact legislation, within 180 days, granting male citizens of the Commonwealth the power to conceive and bear children.
