Recently I linked to an article that said former Mass. House speaker Tom Finneran had switched to support of embryonic stem cell research after taking a job as president of the Mass. Biotech Council. According to the Mass. Catholic Conference, Finneran contacted them to say that the media reports were wrong, that he has not changed his position, and was only saying that now that he’s no longer speaker the legislative environment regarding embryonic stem cells will be different.
