Farewell to Fr. Bryce

Farewell to Fr. Bryce

Fr. Bryce Sibley has announced that he is going to stop blogging at A Saintly Salmagundi due to time pressures and a little bit of blogger burnout. It should be known that his blog was one of the most popular Catholic blogs out there with very high traffic, and for good reason. His blog was always thought-provoking and often very funny. It will be missed.

  • My top 3 daily blog stops were:

    Catholic Blog for Lovers
    Saintly Salmagundi
    Bettnet

Well, Gerard died, Fr. Bryce quit, and now I await Dom’s “my wife sez I blog too much so I’m retiring Bettnet” post.

  • Don’t worry, I consider blogging to be part of my vocation as a writer. It’s what I do. I’m not going anywhere. I may blog more or less, but I’ll be blogging for the foreseeable future (to borrow a phrase from another thread.)

  • I will miss Fr. Sibley.  It was good to have an orthodox Catholic priest around giving us a proper view of the culture.  His blog was a counterpoint to all of the scandal that keeps making the news, and thus the blogs.  There are so few priests we know well enough to trust, that losing one of them is really sad.

  • Hey Tony, I’m with ya on Gerard (God rest his soul) and Fr Bryce.  That was required reading for me, too.  I’m down to Bettnet myself.  Well, Dom and Amy Welborn….
