In the legal agreement signed yesterday by Bishop O’Brien of Phoenix I was struck in particular by one sentence. Noting that this is a legal document setting forth conditions which both parties will agree to, and of which both parties’ lawyers undoubtedly fought over the wording, it seems curious that the following was included in this particular phrasing:
Okay, that covers criminal charges, but it still doesn’t rule out non-criminal conduct.
