17 minutes

Andre Seeu, a columnist for the Evangelical weekly World Magazine, often has a take on everyday life that refreshingly cuts through the baloney to get to the heart of what matters. She does it again in this column called “Seventeen minutes” and subtitled “It’s the thoughts7;s going to stay with me a long time (I hope I only slightly resemble that woman)...

I’m usually trying to figure out something witty and pithy to say on Bettnet.

Clearly that hasn’t worked!

“Iservative viewpoint of modesty (which I will still disagree with), but the squeamishness from the liberal side has nothing to do with modesty and everything to do with the reengineering of society and women’s role in it.

  • How very interesting that what is profane has been called sacred and what is sacred is called profane.  Everyone’s for porn acts, no one is for motherly acts.

  • Michelle Malkin.  Breasts.  Is this blog really supposed to lift up the mind to higher things? wink

To your concluding paragraph, I say: “Precisely!!”

  • Maybe Walters has a guilt complex.

Since culturally we have decreed that motherhood no longer exists, it must be an unpleasant moment when a nursing mom reminds modern woman that mothers still do.  The Madonna image is so plebian, afterall.

  • These women like Walters are put-out for any combo of three reasons:

    1) They sub contracted out parenting to day care and therefore never started breast feeding, leaving the feeding to day care and the artificial-food industry, hence their guilt.

    2) The aborted (murdred) and contracepted their children and never had any, hence their guilt.

    3) Their breasts are full of silcone and consequently don’t produce milk, hence their guilt.
