If they ever made a live-action version of “The Year Without a Santa Claus”, I think they would have to cast James Woods as Snow Miser and Danny Devito as Heat Miser. I’m just saying.

The Snow Miser/Heat Miser thing was mezzo-mezzo done live, though. And I have to disagree – Stewart & Colbert, respectively, would do well.
They did redo it. I haven’t seen it though:

That bad?
I haven’t seen it, Dom, though my wife taped it. She said she tuned out after the “Snow Miser / Heat Miser” sequence. In the original, of course, both misers are surrounded by little copies of themselves as backup singers; my wife says the copies are slutty Britney / Paris clones.
She also noted the presence of a screamingly gay elf in Santa’s workshop – gosh, what a novel, breakthrough concept!
