Bishop Joseph Adamec has responded to criticism that he is coveringup clergy sex abuse in his diocese. Once again, we have a bishop blaiming the media and accusing others of having an agenda. He says he never threatened excommunication of any priest who spoke out in public, even though we have seen letters from the diocese that say exactly that. He says he is cooperating fully with the district attorney, even though the DA says he has been demanding the diocese turn over it files on all reported cases of child sexual abuses since last June.
In other words, we have more Clintonian delay, obfuscation, and prevarication until ... what? The other side gets tired and goes away? We know from experience that’s not going to happen.
