Last week’s landfall by Hurricane Wilma on the coast of Florida came smack dab on Naples, Florida, the home of Ave Maria University. They appear to have weathered the storm, although they are still without power or phones and they have cancelled classes until at least Monday, perhaps longer.
At least they have their priorities in order. A retreat planned for this weekend called Panis Vitae (Bread of Life) will go on, electricity or no electricity.
