An evil prank

I’ve seen several news reports that families of military personnel deployed in the Middle East are getting prank phone calls from people who say they’re from the Red Cross telling them that their loved one was killed in action. What kind of sick bastard does that? Is this “supporting the troops but not the war”?

The DoD says that families of casualties are never informed by phone or by the Red Cross. A member of the service to which the person belonged is always sent in person.

I hope the FBI tracks down each and every one of these lowlifes and prosecutes them to the fullest extent of the law. This is just another form of domestic terrorism directed at families, including the poor husbands and wives and children of brave men and women doing their duty.
