There’s a cool new web site at Catholichistory.net. It’s all about the history of the Church and Catholics in the US. It’s not just political history, but also cultural matters as well. For example, highlighted on the front page today is an article on Catholic college basketball. It’s a new site, so it should be developing all kinds of new features over time.
Interesting side note: The guy behind the site is Dr. Kevin Schmiesing. You could indirectly attribute my career in journalism to Kevin. He was the editor of the student newspaper at Franciscan University when I started writing for it. As he was graduating he nominated me to be his successor. The rest, as they say, is history. Small world.
