Abortion info for 11-year-olds

Here’s yet another reasons not to send your kids to public schools:

An informational booklet that describes the symptoms of sexually transmitted diseases and contains phone numbers for Planned Parenthood and confidential reproductive health services has raised protests after it was placed in students’ lockers throughout the district.

City resident Theresa Fleming said her 11-year-old son, a sixth-grader at Kinsner Elementary School, was among those who received a copy of the booklet, Youth Pages, A Guide for Cuyahoga County Teens published by United Way’s 211 First Call For Help.

She said the booklet, which also provides information on the need for parental consent for abortion and a Web address for the Lesbian/Gay Community Service Center of Greater Cleveland, is inappropriate for 11-year-olds.

Of course, with Talking about Touching the Catholic schools are only a little better. What scares me is not that my own kids will be subjected to this stuff, but that an entire society of skulls full of mush are being raised on this garbage. How bad are things going to be when my kids are grown with families of their own? Maybe they can move to someplace in the Third World then.

  • Homeschooling is not a bed of roses but my wife and I do it for among other reasons so that they’re not exposed to this slime.
They will eventually be exposed to it but on my terms not the public school leviathan.
As you noted the Parochial schools are not much better.  In the Arlington, Va diocese, Bishop Lovede will not waive the requirement that pre-confirmation children, to include homeschoolers,  attend a co-ed retreat and a sexuality lecture of some sort. It’s liturgical/sacramental blackmail. We personally know some of the young adult chaperones/assistants and these co-ed retreats are useless.
