There wasn’t a huge response to my question whether I should hold guesses or let them go, but of those who did express a preference most wanted to see the answers. They also averred that I should not increase my workload. Actually, sending the comments through as they come up is just as easy so I won’t change anything.
Yesterday’s question was “What was the Endless Stair” and the answer is “A spiral staircase in Khazad-dum (Moria) that went from the lowest dungeon to Durin’s tower.” I wonder if the Dwarves had ever fashioned a Slinky. Now that would be cool.
Today’s question is “Who were the peredhil, and what choice were they given?” Answer tomorrow.
The peredhil were those with the blood of both the Edain and the Eldar in them. They were given the choice of which race they wished to belong. If I remember correctly, only a few, like Arwen (and the other two of Elrond’s children), chose to be humans. Most chose to be Elves.
