Blogging will be light

Blogging will be light

Just to let you know that blogging will be light to non-existent today. We’re still in Dallas for another day and will be heading back to Austin tonight. We’re going to be out and about visiting Melanie’s friends without access to the Net so life intervenes.

By the by we went to Mass yesterday at the Cistercian Abbey here in Dallas. Wow! I wish I could go there every day. It was beautiful. My parish could get rid of every hymn and just chant the Mass like the monks did and it would be ten times as beautiful.

And yes, I do know about the judicial decision in Portland that the archdiocese owns the parishes and schools. I will blog about that when I get a chance.

Happy New Year!

  • Cistercian Abbey rocks. Hopefully one day you will also get to attend Mass there when the University of Dallas Collegium Cantorum sings. It’s also beautiful. I miss that here in the Springs.

  • The most revered GregChant expert alive today (Fr. March) is a member of that community and on the faculty of UofD

You were truly blessed through your attendance at that Mass.

  • I have had an opportunity to hear the UD Collegium sing at the Abbey. The singing they do truly is sublime! As wonderful as the monks are, the collegium is nearly unbelievably good.
