Three years, but not forgotten

On this third anniversary of his death, it seems appropriate to re-post this slideshow I made to commemorate Pope John Paul II after he died.

May he be raised to the glory of the altars. Pope John Paul the Great, pray for us.

‘scuse me while I wipe my eyes.

Pope John Paul the Great died on April 2nd, 2005.  Last night, April 3rd, 2008, just 3 years and one day after his death, he was the butt of jokes in the NBC sitcom, “My Name is Earl.“  I have watched the show on occasion as it is madcap, but I turned it off instantly on seeing that.

So goes the conscience of the secular media.
