I have Melanie’s permission to post occasional updates when possible.
You’re blessed, Dom o’ Mine.
We were just watching our video on my computer and decided to check the comments on this thread.
Uh…would this be before you actually created a thread to be posted on?

“Now, Lord, you know that I take this wife of mine not because of lust, but for a noble purpose. Call down your mercy on me and on her, and allow us to live together to a happy old age.”
It’s good that Dom and Melanie didn’t take off right away. Michael Medved suggested in 1996 that couples look to a Jewish custom in which the first week after the wedding is spent installing the new couple in the home and community in which they will live. It’s a good idea.
“Bob, how did you know that was the Old Testament reading at our Mass?”
Well, of course I didn’t. My brother-in-law is getting married next Sunday and I have been searching out Scripture for their wedding. Guess I’ll use that one!

Try Judith 13: 8-11 instead for an idea of what you might be in for if you don’t tread the straight and narrow!
Good luck and blessings.

For a little bit of post- wedding humor, now that you are married, remember the man who asked his priest if every possible situation in life was addressed in the Bible. When the priest answered yes, the man asked, “Does it say anything about PMS?” The priest reflected for a moment and said, “yes- it is written that Mary rode
Joseph’s ass all the way to Jerusalem!”
Congratulations!

In the Garden of Eden, God said, “It is not good that the man is alone; I will make him a helper like himself . . . The Lord God cast the man into a deep sleep and, while he slept, took one of his ribs and . . . the rib which the Lord God took from the man he made into a woman, and brought her to him. Then the man said, ‘She now is bone of my bone, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, from man she has been taken” (Genesis 2:18, 21-24).
Congratulations and God’s blessings upon your marriage.

Melanie, your dress is georgeous.
Looks like your wife has everything under control, Dom, and she already has assumed the wifely role of woman-who-makes-sure-her-man-looks-good!
Congratulations and best wishes to both of you! Have a happy honeymoon.

And also for the record, that was pure Dom-bait. If he were an LA-boy, I’d have said “Go Giants!!!”)
And also for the record, if the Yankees went 0-162, I’d still want them in the post-season, so I could see them lose at least a few more games.
And also for the record ... am I forgetting anything ...
