I had previously read an ESPN article on this, but this a very nice video presentation of the event. I get a chuckle that the umpires not knowing the proper rule is what led to this great act of compassion and sportsmanship. Usually an umpire screwing up a rule just leads to a lot of arguing and dirt kicking.
