Another part of the tidal wave tragedy

Another part of the tidal wave tragedy

You’ve probably heard reports of the tidal wave that’s killed tens of thousands of people in Indian Ocean countries. One small part of the story takes place in India where hundreds of pilgrims were killed at the Marian shrine of Velankanni. Other parish churches on the seacoast, packed with people attending Mass, were also destroyed killing at least 100. What a tragedy.

By the way, have you heard about the possibility of a massive tidal wave that could hit the East Coast if a Canary Islands volcano erupt? Some scientists say it is over-hyped, while the original theorists are sticking to their story. Well, that’s scary.

The most overlooked part of the CWN story, Dom, is that 2,000 attending Mass inside the basilica in Velankanni were spared.  Those shopping in the stalls around the shrine were not.
